context.
Synth started as an audio-first platform designed to increase engagement with podcasts, meetings, newsletters, and recorded events.
The core challenge was that audio is powerful but hard to scan, search, and revisit. Our goal was to transform long-form audio into curated visual elements, making it easier to skim, find key moments, and interact with content.

discovery.
Key insights:
1
Audio Needs Structure
Listening is linear. Users don’t always have time to replay 60 minutes to find one insight. By converting audio into visual highlights and searchable fragments, we reduced friction and increased engagement.
2
MVP Means Learning Fast
As a startup, we built and tested MVPs continuously. Every feature was based on a hypothesis tied to a real user pain point. Iteration mattered more than polish.
3
Simplicity Wins
Users didn’t need more controls. We developed familiar gestures to navigate the app easily. Reducing complexity improved usability significantly.
